Confidentiality aims to protect information and data from unauthorised disclosure. Confidential data and information may only be accessible to authorised persons. Confidential data are e.g.:
- Passwords
- Personal data, which includes physical data, e.g. gender or skin colour, banking data or health information
- Company or official secrets and
- development data
But how can confidential data and information be reliably protected?
